If you consider yourself part of TWC Berlin, you are warmly invited to participate in our strategy meeting.

Venue

We will meet in a private venue in Freidrichshain from 14:00-18:00, please email strategy@techworkersberlin.com to receive address.

Finding purpose

The Berlin Tech Workers Coalition has been around for 5 years, operating largely as a volunteer network of passionate tech workers, elected works council members, supported by allied researchers and union secretaries. Our strategy is not always coherent, but our values are rooted in solidarity, both in the workplaces and broader communities issues like housing, anti-militarism and ecology.

Through mass-layoffs workshops and worker assemblies (Betriebsversammlungen) we can confidently say we’ve reached tens of thousands of tech workers. Through press coverage, public actions and word of mouth our influence goes beyond.

Growing pains

Our internal Telegram group has over 600 workers, and we have supported the formation of over 40 works councils in Berlin. But it is clear that we have a growing pain and a growing disconnect with our members. The attached survey will help document some of the core strengths and weaknesses and help us prepare for a face-to-face strategy meeting with the goal of figuring out where we want to go in the next 3 years and what resources, tools, events will help us get there.

Code of Conduct

All meetings and communications are covered under the Berlin Code of Conduct. The privacy and safety of our members is important to us. Sharing the identity of members and or taking/sharing photos are strictly forbidden unless express consent is given.
